Where Film Photographers Finally Find Their People

Long Live Film is an online community designed to bring film photographers together to master their craft, preserve the beauty of analog, and make shooting film more affordable and creatively fulfilling.

Whether you're loading your first roll or shooting your tenth roll this week, Long Live Film is your home for inspiration, hands-on education, and community.

A Few Of Our Educators

What Is Long Live Film?

We’re building a legit space for film photographers to actually learn, ask questions, share work, and get better together. No noise, no algorithms, just people who love film.

Wholesale Pricing on Film!

Like… the exact same pricing we get from Kodak, Ilford, CineStill, and others.

No markup. Just the real deal.

That means all stocks from Kodak, Ilford, Cinestill... all the favorites: Portra, Tri-X, Gold, HP5, and CineStill 800T—all at wholesale prices. We’ve wanted to do this for a while, and it’s finally live. (This is not Film Drop, no prepaid lab credit)

Real talk and education about shooting + scanning
The stuff you actually need to know — like why your scans don’t look how you want, or how to shoot with more intention.

A chill, helpful community
Beginners, pros, and everyone in between. Ask anything, share work, get honest feedback without the weird vibes.

Behind-the-scenes lab learning
We’ll hop on live and show you what’s going on inside the lab — answer questions, troubleshoot, whatever you need.
Workshops + critiques
Live hangouts with working photographers and film nerds like me. Learn stuff, get inspired, keep growing.

Introducing Long Live Film Community

We're bringing film photographers together

Hey there!

Josh here from Indie.
For the past 14 years, I've watched so many of you awesome film photographers come through our doors - each with your own unique stories, challenges, and honestly... some mind-blowing work. But here's the thing that's always bothered me: you never get to meet each other. You're all shooting what you love, but doing it totally on your own.

For years now, we've been brainstorming and dreaming of a way to replicate the community we felt hosting The Long Live Film in-person retreats... The feeling we left with after spending a week sharing our love for film and getting to know each other was something pretty special. It created a sense of belonging that continued for a long time after everyone returned home. I still get texts from people who met at those retreats years ago!

That's why I'm stoked to finally introduce... Long Live Film - Community.
It's not just another online forum - our vision is a real community where film photographers like us can connect, learn, and grow together.
We're planning comprehensive education from our favorite film friends, a supportive community at all skill levels, direct access to the Indie Film Lab team, interactive workshops, and creative projects.
We want to build this community WITH you, not just for you.
I hope you are as excited as we are.

FAQs

How is this different from free Facebook groups or forums?

This isn't just another place to post photos. We're building structured education, direct lab access, and genuine connections. We're investing in real teaching—from technical workshops to panel discussions with working photographers who actually share their process. No more scrolling through conflicting advice or "just shoot Portra" comments.

I'm just starting with film. Is this too advanced for me?

Absolutely not! We've structured everything to support photographers at every level. If you're loading your first roll, you'll find step-by-step guidance and a place where no question is "too basic." We remember what it's like to be beginners—we were all there once.

How often is new content added?

Every week! We follow a consistent schedule. Each month follows a theme that builds progressively throughout the year.

Do I need expensive gear to participate?

Nope. Whether you're shooting with a thrift store point-and-shoot or a Hasselblad, it's all welcome here. This community is about the craft and connection, not the price tag of your equipment. Some of our favorite images come from the simplest cameras.

Will this help me if I'm shooting film professionally?

Definitely. We have many pros in the community who use our technical sessions and lab access to refine their client work. The wholesale film access alone can offset your membership costs if you're shooting regularly.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, there's no long-term commitment. However, if you do cancel, you'll lose your founding member rate permanently. If you decide to rejoin later, you'll need to sign up at whatever the current rate is at that time. But honestly, once you connect with the community and start saving on film through our wholesale access, we think you'll stick around.
